This is a quick guide on how to install our Sierra Chart templates.

We recommend installing Sierra Chart Service Package 11 or higher on your computer to utilize templates with market depth data effectively. If you haven’t installed Sierra Chart yet, be sure to check out our Sierra Chart Installation Guide first.

Follow the steps below to install boostyourcharts.com templates:

Step 1: Download Template

  • After purchasing, you will be able to download the template and any included custom studies.

Step 2: Save Template

  • Save the template file (.cht) in the Sierra Chart Data Folder, typically located at C:/SierraChart/Data.
  • If included, save additional custom studies (.dll) in the same folder.

Step 3: Apply Template

  • Open Sierra Chart and select from the top menu: File > Open Chartbook and choose “your template.cht”.
  • Add your Data Provider’s Symbol by navigating to Chart > Chart Settings > Symbol > Select Symbol.

  • Wait till all the necessary data is downloaded.

Step 4: Customize Your Template (Optional)

  • Customize your template settings according to your preferences within the Sierra Chart interface.

Support

  • If you’ve recently installed Sierra Chart, you may need to adjust your Global Settings (which override template settings) for optimal template performance. Should you need any assistance with the settings, please refer to our Support section.
